Ruthie Nell Lett, 67, of Clanton died Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

She was born Saturday, Dec. 25, 1943, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Andrew Nelson and the late Rosie Cleckler Nelson.

She was a custodian at Verbena High School.

Surviving are her son, Johnny (Donna) Lett of Wetumpka; two grandsons, Josh (Emily) Lett of Clanton and John Lett of Wetumpka; granddaughter, Lauren Lett of Wetumpka; two great-grandsons, Ethan Lett of Clanton and Jackson Lett of Clanton; two sisters, Geneva Cleckler of Clanton and Judy (Bobby) Rollan of Clanton; brother, Joey (Lisa) Nelson of Clanton; brother-in-law, Clyde Hay of Clanton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lett; parents, Andrew and Rosie Nelson; sister, Jeanette Hay; and brother-in-law, Oneal Cleckler.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 3 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Sunday, Sept. 4 at 2 p.m. at Zion Ridge Church of God with the Rev. Mike Cleckler officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Clanton.
