Shirley P. Okonczak, 90, of Clanton died Friday, May 13, 2011.
She was born Thursday, Feb. 24, 1921, in Dela-ware, daughter of the late Clarence Penley and the late Florence Penley.
She was a recreation manager with the city of Destin, Fla.

Surviving are her two daughters, Gail (Allen) Burnette of Clanton and Nancy A. (Mike) Miller of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; son, Gary L. (Marilyn) Okonczak of Destin, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Megan Burnette, Mike Lamb, Kelly Martine, Erik Okonczak, Jesse Okonczak, Michael (Leiann) Blyden Jr. and Brandon Blyden; four great-grandchildren, Riley Martine, Colin Martine, Addison Okonczak and Brian Miller; and brother, Clarence (Dorothy) Penley of Buffalo, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Okonczak.
Services were held Monday, May 16 at 10 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Hilyer and Father Bruce officiating.
Interment followed in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
