Phillip Doss and Sue Crawford of Clanton are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Doss, to Jesse Fontenot, son of Allen and Wendy Connell of Clanton.

The bride elect is the granddaughter of Carl Doss and Johnny Doss of Columbiana. She attended Verbena High School.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Gary Mitchell and Ida Tunstal of Biloxi, Miss. He attended Chilton County High School and is currently employed by Steel Built.

The wedding is set for September 2011. Invitations will be sent.
