Olan Frith, age 80, of Calera and formally of the Randolph Community in Bibb County, passed away on March 5, 2011, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born on Dec. 23, 1930, in Bibb County, the son of the late Robert Duff Frith and the late Linnie Epperson Frith.

Mr. Frith was a maintenance supervisor with the Bibb County Board of Education.

He is survived by: wife, Gena Frith of Calera; daughter, Lesia Tillery of Randolph; son, Danny Frith of Randolph; step-daughter, Denise Upton of Birmingham; sister, Willodean Haigler of Maplesville; and brother, Frank Frith of Foley.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 8 at 2 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Mims Funeral Home with the Rev. William Kee and the Rev. Tommy Jenkins officiating.
