Kathy Diane Johnston, age 48, of Verbena passed away Jan. 29, 2011, in Prattville. She was born on Aug. 25, 1962, in Clanton to the late Robert E. Johnston and Mary P. Johnston.

She worked as a deli associate at the Clanton Walmart.

She is survived by: son, Zachary Johnston of Verbena; mother, Mary P. Johnston of Verbena; brother, Robert (Peanut) Johnston of Verbena; brother, Ricky (Sue) Johnston of Clanton; brother, Johnny (Sandy) Johnston of Clanton; brother, Bobby (Robin) Johnston of Jemison; sister, Sheila Easterling of Millbrook; sister, Teresa (James) Connell of Clanton; sister, Jonna Johnston of Clanton; sister, Peggy (Phil) Johnston of Titus; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Johnston.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Mims Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Nelson officiating.

Burial followed in the Floyd Baptist Cemetery in Verbena with Ellison-Mims Funeral Home of Clanton directing the services.
