Juana “Kay” Wade of Clanton departed this life on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2011.

She was born in Clanton on Jan. 12, 1944. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Varah Williamson; and her biological mother, Marie Pugh.

She is survived by her daughter, Kayla Wade Cook (Phillip); her grandson, Wade Matthew Cook; brothers, Clyde Bender (Ruby) and Ben Bender (Alice); sister, Mary Lee Hatfield (James); brother-in-law, Eddie Wade (Cathy); extended family, Lori and Perry Smith and their sons, Winston and Riley Smith. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and many dear, beloved friends. She was an active member of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 21 from 6-8 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 22 at 11 a.m. at Walnut Creek UMC. Burial will follow at Chilton Memorial Gardens.

Flowers or a memorial contribution can be made to Walnut Creek UMC or the Alabama Kidney Foundation.
