Jemison First Baptist Church’s winter wonderland continues Thursday night. The holiday event kicked off Wednesday.

It’s the second year the church has sponsored the wonderland, which features food, entertainment, holiday displays and more.

On Wednesday, the hand bell choir gave a concert and teenagers from the church put on a puppet show. On Thursday, Tammy McGriff and her dancers will perform at 6:30 p.m.

The church’s gymnasium is decorated like a snow-covered park — several trees, decorated in various colors and ways, make you forget you are on a basketball court. Classrooms have also been decorated with different themes, one with nativity scenes and angels, others with Santas or snowmen.

The winter wonderland will be open free to the public Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Jemison First Baptist is located on U.S. 31.
