James Milton Burdett, 67, of Clanton died Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at his residence in Clanton.

He was born Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1942, in Shelby County, son of the late Carl Burdett and the late Ethel Oaks Burdett.

He was a welder in the U.S. Army.

Surviving are his wife, Martha Burdett of Clanton; two sons, Ronald (Susan) Burdett of Clanton and Jimmy (Cathy) Burdett of Havrede Grace, Maryland; daughter, Debbie Ann (Kenny) Nunn of Clanton; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers, Carl, Bob and Terry Burdett; three sisters, Judy Headley, Denna Faye Bennett and Violet Hines.

Services were held Monday, Nov. 29 at 1 p.m. at Martin Chapel.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
