Edgar’s Southwestern Grill in downtown Clanton is commemorating the holiday by hosting a Thanksgiving meal for those in need.

Thanksgiving at Edgar’s will be held Thursday Nov. 25 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Edgar’s is preparing a free traditional Thanksgiving meal for the community and is expecting 100-150 people to attend.

Lomax Assembly of God will be assisting Edgar’s with the holiday event.

“This is the first time we are having this event and basically our purpose is to provide food for those that don’t have and for those who don’t have families to share the holiday with,” said Jeff Calhoun, pastor of Lomax Assembly of God.

This is a dine-in only event, and free Bibles will be distributed to those who attend.

“We just want to share the love of Jesus and we encourage people to come out and be a part of it,” said Calhoun. “We will serve food until it run out.”

Edgar’s is located at 613 2nd Avenue in Clanton.
