Laughter, singing, and cheering ricocheted through Clanton City Park as children and adults participated in Clanton Elementary School’s 2010 Fall Festival on Monday.

This year marked the sixth year for the festival, and more than 20 games and activities filled the park’s track and youth football field for the CES students to enjoy.

Some of the activities included: face painting with clowns, rock wall, bouncer with slide, fortune teller, speed pitch, toilet paper toss, dunking booth, feed the animals, two tractor hayrides and a game theater that had laser tag, booger wars, two giant hamster balls and video games.

There was a student costume contest and performances by each grade level.

Parents were not left out; there was something to do for everyone.

Bingo, hot chocolate, coffee and popcorn kept the parents entertained and there was a $1 raffle for a chance to win a $150 cash prize.

The festival was from 4:30-7 p.m. and was hosted by the parent/teacher organization to benefit the school.

“It’s a good turnout,” said April Winton, PTO representative. “I would say it is as big, if not bigger than last year’s.”
