Bobby Ray Vinzant, 60, of Jemison died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham.

He was born Sunday, July 23, 1950, in Chilton County, son of the late James Howard Vinzant and the late Voncille Johnson Vinzant.

He was a construction superintendent.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Debbie Vinzant of Jemison; two sons, Mr. Ronald Matthew (Micah) Vinzant of Jemison and Mr. Brandon Ray (Detheal) Vinzant of Jemison; grandson, Jamie Howard Vinzant of Jemison; granddaughter, Jocelyn Marie Vinzant of Jemison; brother, Mr. Donald (Lisa) Vinzant of Jemison; and sister, Mrs. Joan (Carl) Headley of Jemison.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Voncille Vinzant; and brother, Ronnie Vinzant.

Friends will be received from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 19 at Mineral Springs Baptist Church.

Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 11 a.m. at Mineral Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Rothe officiating. Interment will follow in Mineral Springs Cemetery in Clanton. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to The American Cancer Society.
