Johnnie I. Ratliff, 87, of Maplesville died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

He was born Saturday, Dec. 23, 1922, in Chilton County, son of the late John Ratliff and the late Hattie Hayes Ratliff.

He was a veteran of WWII in the Army.

Surviving are his two daughters, Glenda  Gray of Clanton and Pamela Ratliff of Clanton; son, Johnny Ray (Tammy) Ratliff of Jemison; grandchildren, Robby (Callie) Martin, Kevin (Michele) Martin, Amanda (Jeff) Oaks, Rodney (Laura) Ratliff and Rachel (Greg) Fincher; and great grandchildren, Tyler, Wesley and Daniel Martin; Grant and Rilee Martin, Hannah and Gracee Oaks, Quinton and Megan Ratliff and Johnna and Kendell Fincher.

Friends were received from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 18 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services were held Sunday, Sept. 19 at 2 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Donovan and the Rev. William Earl Short officiating.

Interment followed in Sardis Baptist Cemetery.
