David Marion Acton, 31, of Jemison died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010.

He was born on Thursday, Aug. 9, 1979, in Montgomery, son of David R. Acton and Dorothy Acton.

He worked in electronics with the U.S. Navy.

Surviving are his son, David Marion Acton Jr. of South Dakota; parents, David and Dorothy Acton of Jemison; sister, Tere (Kevin) Johnson of Clanton; nephews, Blake and Dustin Johnson of Clanton; nephew, Aidan Harper of Montevallo.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Jerome Acton; grandparents, David R. Acton Sr. and Clara Elizabeth Acton; and James and Wilma Green.

Graveside services will be held Friday, Sept. 10, at 10:15 a.m.. at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.
