Tullas Tyrone Ray Sr., 68, of Thorsby passed away on Aug. 21, 2010.
He was born on May 3, 1942, in Detroit, Mich., son of the late Marshall Ray and the late Mary Edith Lowery Ray.
He is survived by his wife, Louise S. Ray; three daughters, Janice Dennis of Thorsby, Mary Ray Logan of Thorsby and Monica Massey of Alabaster; two sons, Tullas Tyrone Ray Jr. of Shelby County and Corey Brandon Ray of Thorsby; three sisters, Shirley Miller, Nancy Ray and Diane Tasorbus; and three brothers, Chris Tasorbus, Dennis Tasorbus and Grey Rish.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Diania Ray; grandson, Shannon Ray; brother, Ronnie Ray; and parents, Marshall and Mary Edith Ray.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 24 at 2 p.m. at the Clanton Church of God of Prophecy in Clanton with the Rev. Steve Chance and the Rev. Jeff Logan officiating. Interment followed in Pates Chapel Baptist Cemetery in Jemison.
