Weather service issues hazardous weather outlook for Chilton

The National Weather Service in Calera has issued a hazardous weather outlook for parts of Alabama for Wednesday afternoon and evening. The outlook includes 39 counties, including Chilton.
The weather service says there is a small chance of an isolated tornado across west central Alabama from noon through 7 p.m.
The main area of concern is roughly along and west of a line from Bear Creek in Marion County to Vineland in Marengo County.
The possibility of serve storms will become more likely as daytime heating destabilizes the atmosphere ahead of what is left of an approaching tropical low.
Localized heavy rainfall will also be possible today with any showers and thunderstorms that developed, enhancing the threat of localized flash flooding, roughly in the same area as the tornado threat.
Heavy rainfall will be also be possible Thursday and Friday.
