The Clanton Advertiser’s website, clantonadvertiser.com, has a new look.

The newspaper launched a redesigned website Thursday evening.
The new site makes several improvements aimed at providing readers a better online experience.

Readers will find more stories on the homepage, a cleaner design and new, compelling ways to tell stories with photo galleries, video and other multimedia. Readers should also notice faster load speed and improved ways for users to interact with the paper, especially concerning web comments.

“Just with its new design, the site makes navigating our website an even better experience for our online readers,” said managing editor Justin Averette. “But more than that, the new site will provide us fresh ways to tell the stories that matter most to Chilton County and interact more with our readers.”

The Clanton Advertiser launched its former site two years ago. Publisher Tim Prince said the new website allows the paper to take advantage of ever-changing Internet technologies.

“Digital storytelling is constantly evolving, so launching a new site that takes full advantage of advances made in the last two years was critically important to us and our customers,” Prince said.

Users on the former website will have to re-register in order to leave comments on the new clantonadvertiser.com.
