Hugh Chestine Bryant, 71, of Jemison died Monday, July 19, 2010, at Chilton Medical Center in Clanton.
He was born on  Monday, March 6, 1939, in Talladega County, son of the late Simon Bryant and the late Iward Zenola Barns Bryant.
He was a carpenter.
Surviving are his brother, Dudley Burnett of Jemison; six sisters, Faye  Plier of Jemison, Darlene Ward of Rockford, Jackie Hicks of Jemison, Judy Cleckler of Thorsby, Brenda Abrams and Pat Moore.
Friends will be received from  6-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 21 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 22 at Jemison First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rex Kent officiating.
Flowers are OK or donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
