Franklin Delano Mims, 73, of Notasulga, died Sunday, July 18, 2010, at EAMC. Funeral services will be Friday, July 23, 2010, at Salem Macon Baptist Church in Notasulga at 10 a.m. The Rev. Mark Brumbeloe, the Rev. Scott Lee, the Rev. Tony Smitherman and the Rev. Winston Brooks will officiate.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Corbitt’s Funeral Home in Tuskegee from 6-8 p.m. There will also be a time of visitation at Martin Funeral Home in Clanton from 2-2:30 p.m. on Friday, July 23, followed by his burial in Chilton County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Mims is survived by: his wife, Frances Royal Mims; his sons, David Mims of New Orleans, Timmy Mims of Clanton, Ernest Thompson of Indiana and James Royal of Auburn; his daughters, Susan Sierra of Clanton, Tanya Miller of Notasulga, Merrie Gaillard of Covington, Ga. and Dee Davoni of Tallassee; his sister, Lorene Scott of Clanton; 10 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
