Beulah Mae McConnell, 101, of Marbury died Friday, July 2, 2010.
She was born Thursday, July 30, 1908, in Jefferson County, daughter of the late Gordon Hamilton and the late Carrie Savelle Hamilton.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her two daughters, Margaret (Winston) Henely of Gulf Breeze, Fla. and Elinor Carriere of Rhode Island; two daughters-in-law, Carolyn McConnell McCants of Gardendale and Bernice McConnell of Marbury; son-in-law, Tony Imbraguglio; nine grandchildren, Brenda M. (Terry) Kimbrough, James A. (Cindy) McConnell, Tommie Kate Painter, Morgan Higgins, Cyndi Stemcosky, Maurice Carriere, Denise (John) Simas, Michelle Carriere and Thomas H. McConnell; 17 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Hamilton; mother, Caroline Elizabeth Hamilton; brother, Charles Lowell Hamilton; husband, Thomas Morgan McConnell; son, Thomas Morgan McConnell Jr.; son, Robert H. McConnell; son, Richard McConnell; daughter, Mayme Imbraguglio; son-in-law, Melford Carriere; one grandson; three great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Services were held Tuesday, July 7 at 11 a.m. at Marbury Church of God with the Rev. W.L. Adams officiating.
Interment followed in Marbury Cemetery in Marbury.
