As the Peach Jam Jubilee and Peach Parade approach, several streets will close for the Friday and Saturday events.

For the Jubilee on Friday, Sixth Street will be closed from the red light in front of Clanton Furniture to just north of C&C Trophy, Broussard said.

“We’ll close about half that block,” she said.

Second Avenue will also be closed from the intersection of Second Avenue and Sixth Street to the four-way stop intersection in front of the Chilton County courthouse and Clanton City Hall.

Streets will close at approximately 2 p.m. until midnight or after event cleanup ends.

The Peach Parade begins at 9 a.m. and will ride down U.S. Highway 31 and back up Sixth Street.
