Softball player says ‘Thanks’

First off, I want to thank God for giving me the ability to play softball. Without him, I would not have been able to accomplish the things I did this year to be able to receive this award.

I also want to thank my coaches for always pushing me to do my best and for all of their hard work and dedication towards the team.

Also, my wonderful teammates. Thank you for all of the support you showed me through the year, and thanks for always having my back.

Most importantly, I want to thank The Clanton Advertiser for following our team and covering girls softball like they do. And I also want to thank them for allowing me to receive this award. It is a true honor to hold a title like this.

Courtney Killingsworth, Randolph

Killingsworth, a Maplesville High School student, was named the Clanton Advertiser softball player of the year.
