Thought for the week: “Miracles from God.”

“I’m truly touched by miracles that bless my life each day. As I’m thanking God for one, I see another come my way. The vastness of the ocean, the beauty of the sky, the splendor of the universe, all in God’s watchful eye. Large trees and lovely flowers, the many singing birds, the colors of the rainbow, true beauty without words. Huge canyons and great mountains, large rivers and small streams, the beauty of fall colors, and the miracles of dreams. The beginning of a tiny life from conception on through birth, the process known as aging, as we live upon this earth. Yes, life is filled with miracles given by God’s mighty hand. Each day they’re greatly multiplied and as abundant as the sand.”

Morning Star Baptist Church in Clanton will host a Unity Fellowship Day beginning at noon on June 5 at E.M. Henry Park in Clanton. Guests will be Jo Jo McToy of 105.7 in Montgomery, Minister Tremaine Benson of First Baptist Church in Rockford, Pastor Sylvester Mixon of Unity Christian Center in Saginaw, Pastor Wales Williams of The Harvest Place in Calera, MSBC College Choir, Tribe of Judah and Oak Grove Baptist Church. Everyone is invited to attend.Worship service at the Holly Grove Church in Jemison began with praise, service of prayer, scripture and songs.

The morning message was given by Pastor Dukes. His theme: “A Strong Christian Woman.” Paul is talking to Titus, a young preacher, telling him how to teach his people. Speak sound doctrine, not something that sounds good. Teach them to be sober and to be sound in love. Cover yourself with God’s word.
