David Lawrence Peters, 59, of Jemison died Sunday, May 30, 2010, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.
He was born Sunday, March 25, 1951, in Chilton County, son of the late Ernest Peters Sr. and the late Ruby Rebecca Willis Peters.
He was a restaurant owner.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Peters of Jemison; two sons, Brian Peters of Clanton and Bradley Peters of Jemison; grandchild, Brittany Smith of Jemison; stepmother, Benny Peters of Hoover; brother, Ernest (Jean) Peters Jr. of Jemison; three sisters, Doris Coker of Hoover, Helen Marie Reuland of Houston and Elaine (Neil) Monroe of Brierfield; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Peters Sr.; and mother, Ruby Peters.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 2 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held Thursday, June 3 at 11 a.m. at Mineral Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas Earl Hilyer officiating.
Interment will follow in Mineral Springs Cemetery in Clanton.
