Chilton Medical Center will hold its annual Health Fair on Saturday, May 22 at the First United Methodist Church Helen Parrish Activity Center on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Vanessa McKinney, CMC staff member, said the event has more than 24 vendors scheduled to set up throughout the area, offering various services, including free screenings.

There will be free eye tests, cholesterol screenings, blood sugar and blood pressure tests, colon care kits and other offerings.

“There is a lot of medical information and goodies to give away,” McKinney said. “There are just so many health benefits from coming out to get the information.”

Godbee Medical Distributors will give away a lift chair recliner, furniture designed to assist disabled with standing from a chair.

Door prizes will be given away every 15 to 20 minutes.

Last year’s health fair drew more than 250 people, McKinney said. She anticipates even more will turn out this year.

“Blast from the Past” will provide entertainment.

The Health Fair is free to the public. Those who attend can purchase a $2 hot dog plate with the proceeds going to the CMC auxiliary services.
