Businesses: treat customers with respect

Dear Editor,

A man’s handshake used to be worth a thousand words, and a man’s word was his word. That simple!

What has happened to society and the way business is handled these days? Who knows?

Some businesses have done well and treat their customers great, and some businesses have done well and let it go straight to their heads and treat their customers poorly. They lack respect for their customers—the No. 1 source that’s made them what they are today.

If anyone reading this has their own business, please thank your customers, because they are the ones responsible for where your business is at today, and without them there would be no business.

Remember, also keep your word and do what you say—it goes a long way.
