Violet Wright, age 89, of Centreville died on Sunday, May 2, 2010, at Bibb Medical Nursing Home.
Services will be held Wednesday, May 5 at 1 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. Sid Cottingham officiating.  Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church on May 2 with Rockco Funeral Home directing.
She was a long time member of Antioch Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Cottingham (Sidney) of Warrior and Barbara Henderson (H.L.) of Thorsby; brother, C.W. “Bunk” Bice of Brent; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Wright.
Pallbearers were grandsons.  Honorary pallbearers included Bibb Medical Nursing Home staff and two great-granddaughters, Addyson Williams and Stevie Seaver.
