The Jemison Lady Panthers lost to Bibb County 3-0 and Calera 7-5 in Bibb County on Thursday in two hard-fought games.

Bibb County’s top-rated pitching kept Jemison’s bats quiet in the first match-up, although the defense was a different story.

“We played really well against Bibb County. Our pitching and defense was excellent,” said Jemison coach Leighsa Robinson.

During the game against Calera, several runners were left stranded.

Robinson said it was a sad loss, especially for the seniors. After the game, they returned to their home stadium to have some time together.

“I think our seniors have proven their leadership all year long,” Robinson said.
