Thorsby kept sharp for the baseball playoffs with an 8-5 win over Dallas County on Tuesday.

Stephen Mims was the winning pitcher, striking out six in four innings of relief work.

Shane Beam started and struck out two in three innings.

Evan Bryan went 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple, and Jason Price hit three doubles in three at-bats and drove in two runs.

Blake Elkins was 1-for-4 with a double for the Class 2A No. 2 Rebels (25-4), and Cory Woodall went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI.
