Evelyn Maxine Chambers Sims, age 85, passed away Monday, April 12, 2010, at her home.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Nolin Chambers, Milton Chambers, Weaver Chambers, James Chambers and Rodney Chambers; and sisters, Martha Dean Chambers and Polly Baker.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Henry Jerome Sims Sr.; son, Jerry (Mary Ann) Sims; daughter, Tina (Ira) Blanchard; brothers, Roy Chambers and Ray Chambers; sister, Darlene Hearn; grandchildren, Brad Latham, Joshua Latham, Rebecca Latham, Lindy (Kyle) Bengtson and Taylor Sims; and great-grandchildren, Bailee Bengtson and Abby Bengtson.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 14 at 2 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church with the Rev. Guy Anderson, the Rev. Ira Blanchard and Jack Frost officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Asera Care Hospice for the care they provided during a special time of her life. They would also like to thank Mary Shelton for being a special caregiver for several years.
