Ruby Irene Wegener, 102, of Clanton died Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Chilton Medical Center.
She was born Saturday, Feb. 15, 1908, in DeKalb County, daughter of the late Rubin Davis and the late Elizabeth Swan Davis.
She was a sales clerk.
Surviving are her two sons, Lellwyn B. Lackey of Clanton and Derwyn A. Lackey of Winston Salem, N.C.; daughter, Ruby Joyce Bunn of Brooksville, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; and six great-great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Frances Ambrose; and daughter, Jane Rogers.
Friends will be received from 12-1 p.m., Thursday, April 8 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be Thursday, April 8 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Powell and the Rev. Robert Sandifer officiating. Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery. Martin Funeral Home directing.
