Rebels rout Billingsley
Matt Morgan hit two home runs Tuesday in a 26-2, five-inning Thorsby win over Billingsley that improved the Rebels’ record to 23-4.
Blake Elkins also homered for Thorsby as he went 3-for-5 with three RBI.
Morgan went 4-for-4 and drove in six runs, Shane Beam was 2-for-5 with four driven in, and Evan Bryan went 3-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored.
Beam also was the winning pitcher, striking out 10 in five innings pitched.
The Class 2A No. 2 Rebels defeated Fultondale, 15-5, on Monday to remain unbeaten in area play.
