Harvie Lee Ellison, 84, of Clanton died Monday, March 1, 2010, at Chilton Medical Center in Clanton.
He was born Monday, March 30, 1925, in Chilton County, son of the late John Ellison and the late Arvizina Vanderslice Ellison.
He was a heavy equipment mechanic. He also served in the Army during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Lola Mae Ellison of Clanton; step-daughter, Gail Elrod of Jemison; sister, Lena Liveoak of Clanton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Maudie Cost, Pearly Porter, Roberta Smith, Katie Porter, Elmer Bolton and infant Joyce Ellison; brothers, Johnnie Ellison, Ocie Ellison, J.B. Ellison, Odis “Dick” Ellison and Claudie Ellison; and parents, John and Arvizina Ellison.
Services will be held Wednesday, March 3 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kelvin Smitherman and the Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating.
Interment will follow in Archers Chapel Methodist in Clanton.
