Marjorie Horne

Marjorie A. Horne, 90, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010, in Savannah.
Mrs. Horne was born in Maplesville on Aug. 6, 1919. She moved to Savannah in 1957 and was a cashier in the grocery industry for many years.
After retiring, Marjorie worked as a caregiver for others.
She shared her giving and kind spirit to her family as well, always considering her families needs above her own. Her home was filled with laughter every Sunday as she prepared the family meal. She was a longtime member of Cresthill Baptist Church and was a devout Christian.
Mrs. Horne was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Nathaniel Horne, and daughter, Mary Jane Williams. She is survived by her granddaughter, Carol Potts Solomons and husband Ralph of Savannah; grandsons, Glenn Horne and wife Wanda and Thomas Horne, all of Savannah; great-granddaughters, Leslee Gaylord and husband Victor, Shelley Horne, Aimee Hickman and Jessica Potts; great-grandsons, Daniel Glenn Horne and Andrew Horne; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Saturday at the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery with Dr. Allan Bosson officiating.
