Tickets to Chilton County High School’s “Blast from the Past” will go on sale to the public Saturday, Jan. 30.

Admission is $7 per person for any of the four performances, which are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Feb. 19-20 and Friday and Saturday, Feb. 26-27 in the school auditorium. All shows begin at 7 p.m.

Tickets will be available in the school office starting Saturday at noon. The office phone number is 280-2710.

CCHS teacher and “Blast” co-coordinator Ricki McKee said several freshmen are assuming lead roles in this year’s show. As always, students will sing and perform skits and choreographed dances to popular music from each decade.

“We’ve got three ninth grade boys singing lead parts,” McKee said. “That’s what keeps the show going.”

The shows are collectively the school’s biggest fundraiser of the year. While the school itself is the primary project, “Blast from the Past” also raises money for several charities, including the American Cancer Society and Special Olympics.

The school also holds two food drives and two American Red Cross blood drives each year, as well as a clothing drive and a Christmas party for underprivileged children.
