Thomas Bernard Stewart, 71, of Clanton died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster.
He was born on Wednesday, April 13, 1938, in Autauga County, son of the late Eldridge Eugene Stewart and the late Kathleen Thomas Stewart.
He was a former owner and administrator of the Downtown Nursing Home in Montgomery.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Rush Stewart of Clanton; two sons, Eldridge Bernard Stewart of Camden and Charles Michael Stewart of Clanton; daughter, Mrs. Julia Stewart (Cliff) Willcutt of Montgomery; brother, Hubert E. Stewart of Prattville; three sisters, Mrs. Mary S. Relfe of Prattville, Mrs. Betty S. Heath of Franklin, Tenn. and Mrs. Carolyn S. Stone of Pensacola, Fla.; four grandchildren, Matthew (Mae) Stewart of Birmingham, Valerie Kaye Stewart of Tuscaloosa, Cliff H. Willcutt IV of Montgomery and Thomas M. Willcutt of Montgomery.
Services were held Monday, Jan. 25 at 11 a.m. at Stanton Bible Methodist Church with the Rev. John Ingram officiating.
Interment will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery, Stanton.
