David Shavers

David Lee Shavers, 72, of Verbena died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.
He was born Monday, Sept. 6, 1937, in Alabama, Son of the late Robert M. Shavers and the late Agnes Gray Shavers.
He was a maintenance supervisor.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia Rollan Shavers of Verbena; three sons, David Shavers of Verbena, Danny Lee (Teresa) Shavers of Verbena and Jeff (Alfredia) Shavers of Clanton; daughter, Debra Crawford of Verbena; two grandsons, Alex Shavers and Jamie Crawford; three granddaughters, Leigh Anna Shavers, Adrianna Shavers and Kacy Crawford; and numerous other family members.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert M. and Agnes Gray Shavers.
Services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wendell Kelley officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Clanton.
