William Trimble Jr.

William Kohler Trimble Jr., age 70, passed away on Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at his beloved home on Lake Mitchell.
He was born April 3, 1939, in New Orleans, son of the late William Kohler Trimble Sr. and the late Louise Gredell Trimble of Poplarville, Miss.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Dale Trimble of Verbena; his children, Alan (Tracy) Pattillo of Verbena and Kimberly Dale Trimble of Alabaster; and one grandchild, Lacye K. Pattillo. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Kenneth (Debbie) Dale; and his beloved nieces and nephews, Debra (Jeff) Mims, Lynn Mims, Ryan Mims, Kyle (Kristin) Mims, Avery (Megan) Dale, Connie Lou Dale, Rachael Mims and Zoe Roberts.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy and played professional football in his younger years with the San Francisco Forty Niners. He started his football career with the Ole Miss Rebels in Oxford, Miss.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 23 at 2 p.m. at Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton with the Rev. Tony Smitherman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, our family would be honored by donations to the West End Baptist Church building fund at 2005 Second Ave. N., Clanton, AL 35045.
