Timothy Barnes

Timothy “Tim” Charles Barnes was born in Fort Payne on Sept. 14, 1960, to Charles E. and Cora Sue Barnes. He went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 12, 2009. He was a resident of Chilton County for 39 years.
Tim was self-employed but had many different occupations during his short lifetime. He was a wonderful father, son, brother, uncle and friend.
Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Cora Sue Barnes.
Tim is survived by his sons, Timothy Brad Barnes and Tanner Blake Barnes of Clanton; daughter, Amanda Michelle Barnes of Jemison; granddaughter, April Michelle Norris; father, Charles E. Barnes of Clanton; sisters, Anita (Mark) Kennedy of Beech Grove, Ind. and Aletha (Bret) Tecklenburg of Fort Campbell, Ky.; nephews, Nathan Kennedy of Beech Grove, Ind.; Kael Tecklenburg and Matty Tecklenburg of Fort Campbell, Ky.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at Martin Funeral Home. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17 at Martin Chapel. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Brent with the Rev. Billy Wyatt and the Rev. Steve Vernon officiating.
Pallbearers are: Josh Bryant, Matt Coker, Adam Latham, Alex Price, Eric Wargo and Trent Wyatt.
Honorary pallbearers are: Jim Beck, Wayne Headley, David (Nub) Powell and the members of Perry Mountain Motorcycle Club.
