‘Bubba’ and family to lead parade

Bill “Bubba” Bussey, co-host of the national radio talk show “The Rick & Bubba Show,” and family will be the grand marshals for this year’s Clanton Christmas Parade.

Bubba, along with his wife, Betty; daughter, Katelyn; and son, Hunter will ride in a vehicle near the beginning of the parade, which will begin Friday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. in downtown Clanton.

“Their show is well known. I think just about everybody has heard them on the radio,” said Roger Yeargan, Christmas Parade chairman with the Rotary Club of Chilton County. “The Rotary Club is proud to welcome Bubba and his family as our grand marshals this year.”

The parade route is as follows:

Starting at Park Plaza Shopping Center (Fred’s), proceed west two blocks on Fourth Avenue

Turn right onto Sixth Street North and proceed one block to Fifth Avenue

Turn left onto Fifth Avenue and proceed west to U.S. Highway 31

Turn left onto Highway 31 and proceed south to the alley between Wright’s Drug and the Mexican Market to Sixth Street

Turn left onto Sixth Street and proceed to Third Avenue

Turn right onto Third Avenue at First Baptist Church and proceed east back to the parking lot at Park Plaza.
