Walter Lee Smitherman, 61, of Clanton died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at UAB in Birmingham.
He was born Monday, June 7, 1948 in Chilton County, son of the late Claudie Smitherman and the late Myrtle Knight Smitherman.
He was a sales clerk.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Patricia B. Smitherman of Clanton; son, Mr. Kevin “Red Dog” Smitherman of Clanton; brother, Mr. Shag Smitherman of Clanton; two sisters, Mrs. Lula Belle Cleckley of Clanton and Mrs. Louise Smith of Clanton.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. at Glad Tidings Cemetery with the Rev. W.L. Adams and the Rev. Zack Bates officiating.
