Municipal buildings and civil service departments in Chilton County will be closed Wednesday in recognition of Veteran’s Day.

This includes public service departments in Clanton, Thorsby, Jemison and Maplesville.

Public works facilities will be open Monday and Tuesday and will resume operation Thursday.

Trash disposal will run as scheduled in Clanton on Wednesday, and all residents should have their trash ready for pick-up by 6 a.m. on Wednesday.

Jemison workers will pick up Wednesday’s trash by 7 a.m. on Tuesday.

Maplesville crews will skip Wednesday and pick up that day’s trash on Thursday by 7 a.m.

All Chilton County public schools will be closed in recognition of Veteran’s Day.
