You don’t have to look far to find fall activities in north Chilton County.
Burnette Farms hosts a haunted warehouse and a 6-acre corn maze on select nights. The warehouse is a 20-minute trip through twisting hallways and stairways, and the maze has plenty more twists and turns.
This is the farms’ fourth year to host the attractions.
“Attendance has increased every year,” said co-owner Mary Charles Burnette. “It’s really picking up with different ads and word of mouth.”
Burnette Farms, located on Highway 31 just south of Thorsby, is open Oct. 23-24 and Oct. 29, 30 and 31 at 7:30 each night. Admission is $10 to enter the haunted warehouse and $5 for the corn maze.
While there is no official age limit, Burnette recommends the activities for children ages 10 and up.
The following is a listing of local fall festivals, trick-or-treating and other events scheduled for later this week:
• Union Grove Baptist Church judgment house — Oct. 27-29 from 6-10 p.m. and Oct. 30 from 9 p.m. until midnight. Call 688-3212 for more information.
• Pleasant Hill Baptist Church trunk-or-treat — Oct. 31 from 5:30-7 p.m.
