Around 15 people attended a rally Saturday in Clanton to discuss what they perceive as injustices in the 19th Judicial Circuit Court.

Organizer Brandy Knight said she was pleased with the turnout but thinks a last-minute relocation may have lowered the numbers slightly. The meeting was moved from the pavilion Knight had reserved at City Park to another area of the park because of a birthday party.

People from Chilton, Elmore and Autauga counties were in attendance, Knight said. The discussion mainly focused on unfairness in the court system but did go into ways to seek more candidates in the next election.

She said the meeting helped people who are interested in seeing changes in the court system get organized.

Knight said future rallies will be held in Elmore and Autauga counties, but no plans had been finalized this week.

“We want to go into Elmore and Autauga right away. I want to go out and meet people there,” Knight said.
