The Chilton County Commission will meet Tuesday morning, Oct. 13 in its regular meeting quarters at 9 a.m.

The meeting was rescheduled from Monday because Alabama Power was expected to work on transformers in the area, causing a possible temporary power outage, Commission chairman Tim Mims indicated.

Columbus Day, which was observed nationally Monday, was not intended to be a county holiday, Mims said.

Tuesday’s meeting will be the first regular commission meeting of the 2009-2010 fiscal year.

The Maplesville Town Council is also scheduled to meet Tuesday night in the town’s library at 6.
