Clanton police are asking for the public’s help in locating two persons of interest in connection with a stolen credit card.

A credit card stolen from a Clanton resident was first used at the Clanton Walmart on July 24. The card was then used at Walmarts in Calera, Alabaster and Pelham.

Police are trying to find a man and women caught by surveillance cameras at the Alabaster store.

Mayfield said the couple’s identification is vital in cracking the case.

Detective Freddie Mayfield said other departments are working the case, but that Clanton is particularly interested in solving it.

“It started out here. It’s a local victim. That’s why I’m interested,” said Mayfield.

Anyone with information should contact Mayfield at the Clanton Police Department at (205) 755-1194.
