Support your community, attend the Fair

It’s that time of year — cotton candy, popcorn, roller coasters and funhouses.

If you haven’t been yet you have two more nights to make it out to the Chilton County Fair.

If the rides, food, shows and other attractions weren’t enough to draw your attention, money raised goes to Kiwanis Club to support their many philanthropic endeavors.

Attending will also benefit a local business. Chilton County based Kissel Entertainment puts on the festival every year.

They do well for the home folks — co-owner Russ Kissel said the Chilton County Fair is one of the best they do in Alabama.

Through Wednesday, about 4,000 people have attend the fair.

Admission is $3 per person. Tickets to rides are $1 apiece.

Armbands are sold for $15 apiece and allow anyone to ride all the rides an unlimited number of times for a single night.

Gates open at 5 p.m. today and 6 p.m. Saturday.

Hope to see you there.
