Games scheduled Friday for Chilton County High, Isabella and Thorsby were all postponed until Saturday because of inclement weather.

CCHS was tied, 14-14, at Gardendale with 3:20 remaining in the first half when the game was called.

Senior quarterback Taylor Hughes scored both the CCHS touchdowns, on an 8-yard run in the first quarter and a 56-yard run in the second quarter.

The game will be resumed beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Thorsby was trailing 12-0 at Fultondale when play was stopped.

The time the Rebels would resume the contest wasn’t available at press time.

Isabella, meanwhile, never made it to kickoff in its game at American Christian.

“We were about halfway through stretching” before the lightning storm forced postponement of the game, Isabella coach Lanny Jones said.

The game will be played beginning at 5:30 p.m Saturday.
