Jemison High School’s Blue Regiment Band is making the most of our marching season. The students and parents are all very excited to present this year’s halftime show, themed Broadway.
Songs like “Give My Regards to Broadway”, “There’s No Business Like Show Business”, and “Summertime” will be preformed during the halftime show.
Recently, we have been scheduled to play for the Rick & Bubba show on Sept. 11.
The Band will be led by our Drum Major, Stephanie Hudman, and will play, live, at around 6:45 a.m.
Other outstanding members that will be performing are as follows: Justin Pollock, band captain; Lloyd Jones, band co-captain; Rita Brown, colorguard captain; Misty Howotte and Annie Reid, colorgaurd co-captains; Jessica Swindle, danceline captain; Heather Bowden and Emily Hand, danceline co-captains; Elijah Broadhead, drum captain; and Blake Raines, drum co-captain.
We will be playing the show along with an arrangement of “God Bless the U.S.A”. Be sure to catch us!
Oct. 10 and Oct. 24 are the scheduled days that the Blue Regiment will go to our marching competitions. The Oct. 10 competition will be in Winfield. The other is TBA.
Be sure to support your Blue Regiment Band and JHS football team by coming to the football game on Sept. 11. We’ll be at the Calera High School stadium. The game starts at 7 p.m.
Thanks to all the band booster parents and to our administration for all of your support; we couldn’t have done any of this without it!
