The Clanton Police Department arrested 10 people through the month of August on various drug charges.

The arrests follow a month-long investigation by Clanton narcotics detectives. Clanton police have been receiving numerous complaints of drugs being sold on the street around Ashley Court and the West End community, said Police Chief Brian Stilwell.

“Our drug investigators are constantly working and making cases, and the last month, they have been very busy,” said Stilwell.

Those arrested and their charges are as follows:

-Tiffany R. Kine, 29, of Clanton, unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

-Malisa R. Kine, 31, of Clanton, unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

-Erick Montez Kine, 20, of Clanton, possession of marijuana and receiving stolen property.

-Justin Cornelius Kine, 19, of Clanton, unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

-Stacy Lynn Taylor, 37, of Clanton, unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

-Leroy K. Varner, 28, of Clanton, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

-Keynon D. Oden, 24, of Clanton, unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

-Monica N. Mobley, 20, of Marbury, unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

-Joshua Matthew Cleckler, 20, of Clanton, unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

-Jamaris Parker, 26, of Clanton, unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

During the investigation, police officers allegedly purchased various amounts of crack cocaine, marijuana and prescription pills from those listed above.

Everyone was booked in the Chilton County Jail on bonds of $5,000, except for Oden, whose bond was $30,000.

Stilwell said additional arrests are likely.

“We are aggressively working on pursuing those whom are active in the illegal drug trade. By going after these street-level dealers, we hope to improve the quality of life for our residents,” Stilwell said. “No one should have to live in a community with drug deals going on outside their homes.”
