Dorothy Culp

Dorothy E. Culp, 76, a resident of Cleveland, Tenn. for the past 55 years, passed away Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, in a local hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church since 1954 where she was active and served in the nursery for many years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larkin Williams; two sons, Joel Douglas Culp and Donald Earl Culp.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years Enoch “Ed” Culp of Cleveland; mother, Myra Nell Williams of Verbena; three sons, Michael Culp Sr. and wife Theresa Marie; Gregory Lynn Culp, and Noel Brian Culp and wife Pam, all of Cleveland; and one daughter, Paula Elaine Culp also of Cleveland; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother Thomas Williams of Clanton; two sisters, Nell Tucker and Janet Hand, both of Verbena; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 22 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Gibson and Pastor Tom Moncrief officiating. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 24 in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. First Baptist Church deacons will serve as pallbearers with her grandsons serving as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 21 at the funeral home and 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
